MSMA Committees
Want to get involved, but not ready to join the Board of Directors?
All members in good standing are welcome (and encouraged!) to join a committee. Committees meet on an as-needed basis either in person or via Google Meet/Zoom. Committee members volunteer their time to help MSMA thrive. Committees generate ideas, hash out decisions, then present to the Board.

Committees
Budget Committee
- Overviews the overall budget for MSMA including expenses for events and initiatives, payroll, financial process, and brings financial decisions to the attention of the Board. Oversight and participating in all financial matters including taxes, banking, and sponsorships.
- 2026: David Pullen (chair), Stephanie Parker
Marketing Committee
- Website: Participates, evaluates, and coordinates website strategy, design, functionalities, vendors, initiatives, and improvements. Social Media: Participates, evaluates, and coordinates social media strategy, vendors, initiatives and improvements. Graphic Design: Addresses any graphic needs that arise for promotional or advertising opportunities, whether in house or hired outside the organization.

Sponsorship Committee
- Supervises and assists in seeking sponsorship opportunities including preparing proposals and communicating with sponsors.

Membership Committee
- Supervises membership format, benefits, and drive efforts throughout the year. Generates leads for the. Executive Director and acts as an ambassador for MSMA with merchants.

Legal Committee
- Ensures that the organization understands and complies with its own governing rules, relevant laws, contractual obligations and the requirements of any regulatory bodies. Consults with the Board on any issues that arise where legal consultation is needed.

Events
Participates in the planning and execution of event including scheduling, concept, budget, and supporting materials. Supports the promotion of MSMA events.Champagne Stroll Committee

Santa's Stroll Committee
